I have a 1988 Buick and I can't get the control on the dash that directs the air flow to work any help ?

It only blows to the floor and I cant get it to blow up to the defroster or vents.

there is a plastic lever on the air doors that commonly breaks - go see the buick parts guys and they can show you a diagram of the assembly and price the part for you. price the labor for you too if you are so inclinedI have a 1988 Buick and I can't get the control on the dash that directs the air flow to work any help ?
the doors are inside the heater/ac case up under the dash and connected to the fresh air intake grill at the base of your windshield - heater core is in the case also so if you can see where the hoses go in you might locate it

see a mechanic, it will need to be looked at , and the car is pretty old!
try a salvage yard and replace the control panel
