while they say most birth controls are 99% effective there's still that 1%, and honestly a lot of it depends on your body. my friend got pregnant twice on birth control, once she was taking the pill, and once she was taking the depo shot. if pregnancy isn't ideal for you right now you should still always use a condom as a means of extra prevention.
