What do you think of Bush taking almost direct control of the CIA

Do you think it had anything to do with CIA issuing reports to Congress that contradicted Bush and McCain's justifications for their wars?

Presidential Executive Order 12333What do you think of Bush taking almost direct control of the CIA
I think it is a blatant abuse of presidential power--and I'm a Republican!

Not only is it abusive, but unconstitutional. What do you think of Bush taking almost direct control of the CIA
I think you are right too.

I agree with Bob Barr that Bush has severely misused Executive power...and I fear the idea of McCain or Obama taking on that power next. Bob Barr is absolutely right in saying that these men see the presidency as a floor, not a ceiling and they are always seeking more and more power. He is the only candidate talking about a return to the constitution and more power to the people. That is why he has my vote. I vote on issues, not who I think ';can'; win.
Nope

This is bill to improve the intel by the U.S. Please remember if this was about the war in Iraq it would have been done long before we went or soon after.

Or intel is very important this is improving it.

My guess you anything connected with Bush is always wrong and anyone who is critical of Bush is always right.

Is this even really true? Link, please!

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I think it may be a good thing. He's destroyed everything else he's ever touched. Maybe he can destroy this, too. Then we can rebuild it better from scratch when we get his sorry butt out of office in January.
Well the CIA is who they send to take down leaders of foreign countries, so they can set up ';Democracies'; in order to expand the American empire. So, that doesn't suprise me in the least.
Actually, the real reason is to figure out who is voting democrat so that we can audit their tax records....

I have a machine that turns water into gas too, are you interested?
Bush is on his way out......if he can't do much harm now......I would be afraid if Mr. Military here takes control with that kind of power.......imagine a president with unlimited authority over every aspect of of our security
it's fine...frankly, you should be more worried about FEMA...if worrying about 'taking control' is what you're worried about!
there should be a seperation of powers between the CIA and the White House/President; the President should NOT be in the job of spying on citizens like Nixon did (for example)
Nothing wrong with this at all. He is the highest law in the land and Commander In Chief. He should have control over intelligence matters.
Bush would love to run this country like Russia !!

Wouldn't the Repubs hate to see a Democrat abuse his power in the same way
It's not hard to imagine GW wanting to control the whole intelligence dept, that way we will never know the truth about anything. Why he waited so long to attempt this coup is more the question!
It probably has everything to do with it. CIA--Cover Idiots' @sses.
It's about time someone takes charge of the CIA.
He wants to bungle and ruin one more thing before he goes.
No, and I think this is a stupid question.

Thanks for the 2 points
