Hello I have a direct TV receiver hooked up to my computer so i can view TV on it. I want to be able to change channels with a remote directed to the computer rather than the receiver. Ive heard of sling box but i want to do this with my computer. Is there some sort of card with a infrared output that i can sync with my direct TV receiver?Controlling direct TV receiver with computer?
You can use an IR blaster, such as a USB-UIRT.
Some DirecTV receivers let you control them from the iR serial/home control port directly, PC software allowing.
