I not sure, but, it not hard. Remove the old and controls. Usually you disconnect the cables from engine and pull out so you not open the control box.

New engine to install. IF, the mount holes not line up you need to get a Wood Dowel Rod (Hardware store, Wal-Wort etc.), cut to thickness of transom and coat with a good rubber caulk/silicon and plug the holes, be sure you have your rubber covering inside and out to prevent water. To line up you new install, set it close to center of transom and take a measuring tape. measure from bottom left of motor mount corner to bottom left corner of boat. Then check the right. Move engine left/right to center. If, the old engine was centered it should cover the old holes. Then tighten it up, or snug and drill your new mounting bolt holes. Cover the bolts with your Rubber sealer and slide them through. On the inside put a little rubber on the washers and bolt it down. Run your cables and connect the controls. Then see if the old control box holes line up. I, not I usually use one of the old holes and drill one new to bolt my control box.Can anyone direct me to a web page for basic outboard motor (with controls) installation/repair?
