It has been my experience that BD infrared codes are different than DVD codes. This is true across several brands. I would contact DirecTV and ask them to send you an up-to-date remote control, or get a universal for both.How do I program my direct tv remote to control my blu ray player?
Try the DVD players - same brand.
The unit may be ';old'; and may not have BD-specific codes, but most companies use similar codes.
